We all love beauty and we know the need to recycle so these tiny original paintings are one of my ways of reducing waste and beautifying what might have otherwise been discarded.
I have measured and hand cut mount card, mostly using offcuts and odd pieces, layered them up into tiny free-standing blocks and painted each with a completely original acrylic painting. Some are of places that I have seen and loved while some are purely imaginative.
The result for each is a miniature artwork/ornament/keepsake/unique piece of painted sculpture which is perfect for a tiny corner, a mantle shelf, a bedside table, a nook or a cranny. Although each layer of card is cut to the same size, I have deliberately offset them while layering so that while I paint them I can pick out the irregularity and make it look as though the landscape continues behind the front façade to give them a little more depth and uniqueness. Please note that there is a very small amount of blurring around the caption when viewed online which is (obviously!) not on the originals.
Each mini block painting measures 6.5 x 6.5 x 2 cm.
£40 each.
